PRESIDENT AND CEO & LICENSED FUNERAL DIRECTOR (D.C., MARYLAND, VIRGINIA AND DELAWARE)
Duane L. Calloway was born in Mobile, Alabama, the second of eight children. His undergraduate studies were completed at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. He holds an Associate’s degree from the University of the District of Columbia in Mortuary Science and has taught biology, chemistry, physical science, earth science, and forensic science in the Mobile County, District of Columbia, Prince George’s County and Baltimore County Public School systems. Currently, Mr. Calloway serves as Professor of Mortuary Science at the University of the District of Columbia, teaching embalming, restorative art and the psychology of grief. He is also the owner and chief executive officer of Calloway Mortuary Services, Inc. and hold mortician licenses in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
